Mihai Pohonţu, fostul vicepreşedinte al Disney Interactive, a preluat din ianuarie 2015 funcţia de VP pentru Emerging Platforms la Samsung relatează businessmagazin.ro

”Zona de activitate s-a lărgit considerabil şi acum include toate iniţiativele de software dezvoltate intern la Samsung Media Solutions Center America şi de asemenea cele dezvoltate prin parteneriate externe cu studiouri independente, dar şi companii de vârf”, sintetizează noua funcţie Mihai Pohonţu, spunând că va reveni cu precizări odată ce se va obişnui cu noua echipă, dar şi cu noile responsabilităţi.

În ultimii doi ani şi jumătate, Mihai Pohonţu a fost vicepreşedinte al Disney Interactive. Cu un an în urmă, povestea pentru un articol de copertă în Business Magazin că este ”foarte angrenat în strategia Disney” şi că are ”deja o poziţie foarte importantă în companie, pe care o simt ca atare. Am multă libertate să inovez, să aduc suflu nou”. Pohonţu a preluat jobul de la Disney Interactive la începutul anului 2012. Jobul de la Disney presupunea conducerea unei reţele de parteneri care creau jocuri: ”Reţeaua pe care o conduc eu se cheamă Partners. Forţa care creează jocurile este externă. Coordonez direct o echipă de 10 producători care coordonează studiourile de jocuri; echipa mea în total are peste 500 de oameni în 7 locaţii din lume (Polonia, India etc)”. Quality Assurance: A global software testing group providing functional, linguistic, certification, live service and system QA services for console, mobile and open web products, as well as handling first party submissions to all platform partners.

Operational Intelligence: A group charged with defining the Disney Development Framework, disseminating development best practices, Agile production planning, managing the slate and acting as the PMO of Product Ops.
